When exactly does the PR window open each year?
The Ministry of Interior announces the PR window by notification in the Government Gazette, historically in mid-November with a four-to-six-week filing window. We time the Special Branch appointment so the PCC issue date sits inside that window.
Do dependants included on the PR file need their own PCC?
Adult dependants (spouse over eighteen, adult children on separate PR files) each need an independent certificate. Minor children on the principal applicant's file do not.
What happens if the PCC arrives dated too early?
If the certificate issue date sits more than ninety days before the Immigration Bureau's filing date, the subcommittee will reject it as stale. We refuse to release the certificate until the ninety-day clock aligns with the announced window.
