My Work Permit renewal is 'straightforward' — do I really need a PCC?
Department of Employment officers only require the PCC for category changes, extension after criminal complaints, or Smart Visa upgrades. Ordinary annual renewals under an existing sponsor rarely trigger it, but the BOI One-Stop desk keeps the discretion to ask.
Can I use my home-country PCC instead of a Thai PCC?
For Work Permit purposes the Department of Employment wants a Thai PCC because it captures conduct inside Thailand. Home-country PCCs are separately required for the initial Non-B visa but do not substitute for the Section 59 check.
