My degree says 'ปริญญาบัตร' — does the English translation need to say 'Diploma' or 'Degree'?
'ปริญญาบัตร' is the Thai word for a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree certificate. We translate it as 'Degree Certificate' and add a translator's note clarifying the level — 'Diploma' in Australian usage means something else.
The certificate is signed by the university council president, not the Prime Minister — is that a problem?
No. Private universities' certificates are signed by the university council; public universities' are signed by the Prime Minister ex officio. We identify which is which in a translator's note so the assessor does not question authenticity.
Do I need this translated separately from the transcript, or together?
